Bluebonnet Flower Trails.  You can find the bluebonnet craze just by traveling along the major highways.  Blooming starts early March but if you want to get an actual account on visit http://www.wildflower.org/

Along Hwy 290 between Houston and Austin is a stretch from Chappell Hill to Brenham where the grassland is covered in a sea of bluebonnets.  

Along Hwy 6 between Hempstead and College Station is another popular site where travelers can snap a photo of the state flower. 

East Texas on Hwy 59 North is known for its wildlife beauty.  You can find the highway or trails full of these lovely beauties.

The Hill Country.  Where else is heaven on earth but in the Texas Hill Country.  Catch wild flowers of all types along with the bluebonnets and while there, don't forget to visit the Lady Bird Wildlife Center.


Texans are so ready to get back into the swing of being outdoors after the winter season. The Spring weather in Texas is at its best and festivals mark the start of such celebrations.

51st Annual Bluebonnet Fest, Chappell Hill.  Bluebonnets galore, tours of the historical community, country-style food, music, crafts, childrens activities area and more to check out!

The biggest and most elaborate Strawberry Fest happens in Poteet, Tx,  Featured headliner bands include David Lee Garza, Johnny Lee and more. Come see gun slinging shows, exhibits, rodeo fun, artisan crafts, contests, Texas food favorites, and of course, strawberries!
